The Service Contract Manager is responsible for managing commitments related to service and equipment supply contracts for projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role oversees and manages contractual relationships between all involved parties.

DETAILED SCOPE:

Key responsibilities of the Contract Manager include:

  • Drafting Contracts: Creating comprehensive and clear contract documents outlining the terms, conditions, and obligations of all parties.
  • Reviewing Contracts: Ensuring agreements align with project goals, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Negotiating Terms: Engaging with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Finalising Contract Terms: Confirming all parties understand and agree to the contract before execution.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying and addressing legal, financial, and operational risks.
  • Contract Administration: Overseeing contract implementation, ensuring compliance, and addressing deviations or issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously tracking adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management: Facilitating communication between internal and external parties while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution: Addressing issues or disputes to keep the project on track.
  • Change Management: Managing contract modifications systematically and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Contract Closeout: Ensuring all obligations are met and conducting post-contract evaluations.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while collaborating with legal professionals to manage risks.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate contract records and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Law or a relevant Business-related qualification.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong commercial awareness with expertise in contract law and legal drafting.
  • Previous experience in a Contracts or Legal department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey legal matters to a non-legal audience.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (French is an advantage).
  • Ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
