Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Marriott International. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading high-performing teams.

About the Role:

As a Restaurant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing Day-to-Day Operations:
    • Supervise and manage employees to ensure seamless delivery of guest services.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas.
    • Review staffing levels to meet operational needs and financial objectives.
  • Leading Food and Beverage Team:
    • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
    • Advocate sound financial and business decision-making.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:
    • Provide services that exceed customer expectations and retention.
    • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs.
    • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality, standards, and meets expectations of customers on a daily basis.
  • Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities:
    • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates.
    • Identify educational needs of others and develop formal educational or training programs.
    • Solicit employee feedback and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers and hosts on the floor during meal periods and high-demand times.
  • Recognize good quality products and presentations.
  • Supervise daily shift operations in absence of Assistant Restaurant Manager.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including purchasing and payment of invoices.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • A high school diploma or GED; or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.

Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
