About the role

Appfire is seeking a highly skilled Technical Software Professional to join our Agile Poker for Jira & Planning Poker team. As a key member of this cross-functional product team, you will report to the Senior Manager Software Engineering and be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient and scalable React / Vue.js and Node.js applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in communication, effectively connecting with colleagues in remote/hybrid environments using tools like Slack, Zoom, and G Suite. You will work closely with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, Team Leaders, and specialists like Product marketers or Support Engineers to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Following and establishing best engineering practices, such as automated testing, code review, pair programming, and YBIYRI (you built it you run it).
  • Sharing your thoughts openly and honestly on what would be the best for the customers and the business, participating in discussions about the future of our products and Appfire.
  • Deciding freely about your day and assignments, working independently while being part of a collaborative team.
  • Being the change you seek, suggesting improvements and making them happen.
  • Beneiftting from seamless access to the Support team, quick feedback, and direct communication with our customers.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience (2+ years) with front-end (TypeScript, React, or Vue.js) and back-end web technologies (Node.js).
  • A willingness to learn and use multiple technologies.
  • An engineering approach to solving problems, with good theoretical foundations of computer science (e.g. algorithms and computational complexity, OOP).
  • A good understanding of modern Cloud architectures, and practical experience implementing them in either GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong architectural understanding of web applications, including performance, quality, and security aspects.
  • Command of English at level B2 or higher.
  • NoSQL DB's knowledge and familiarity with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
