Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is an integral part of a global team of professionals in the business-critical infrastructure systems and platforms supporting the global Markem-Imaje business. This role requires performing day-to-day activities to ensure the availability of IT services for users and the production plant. The IT Support Specialist must follow MI IT processes and collaborate with outsourcing partners and 3rd party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely support to users within Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to achieve optimal service levels.
  • Support and assist strategic outsourcing partners on a daily basis.
  • Provide regular feedback to the service delivery manager on supplier, third-party, and Dover's shared services performances regarding contracted services.
  • Embrace continuous improvement in systems and process designs within Markem-Imaje and Dover's shared services supporting MI ICT functions.
  • Develop documentation, reports, and processes when necessary.
  • Improve and maintain existing documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Escalate major issues to ensure customer care and support.
  • Ensure engineering/R&D tool availability by proactively addressing issues and managing alarms/monitoring.
  • Create corrective action plans based on Root Cause Analysis.
  • Adhere to ITSM best practice processes.
  • Contribute to ICT infrastructure and strategic technology change projects.
  • Collaborate with Senior Enterprise Solutions Project Manager and the service delivery manager to support planned and unplanned projects based on priorities and short notice.
  • Ensure project delivery meets timelines, budgets, and system availability requirements.
  • Engage in cross-training with other team members to enhance knowledge and skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience in a substantial IT administration and support role.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • In-depth understanding of IT support/infrastructure services in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong organizational skills paired with a hands-on mentality and independent working approach.
  • Effective interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Understanding of current and emerging technologies and supporting best practices.
  • A thorough grasp of hardware/software contractual, licensing, and lease agreement concepts.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing plants.
  • Familiarity with SAP GUI.
  • High proficiency in English and Polish.
  • Predisposition to work at our current location at 39 Farbiarska Street in Warsaw until the new facility at 105 Katowicka Avenue in Kajetany opens in the 2nd quarter of 2025.
