R&D Category Manager Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced R&D Category Manager to join our team at 9605 GSK Services Sp z o.o. The successful candidate will be responsible for category management, including sourcing and contract management in the Evidence Generation R&D Procurement Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Global Medical categories
  • Develop strategies together with the Chief Patient Officer stakeholders
  • Be responsible for contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance
  • Work across multiple countries and business units requiring high cultural awareness
  • Establish strong partnerships with the Business Owner(s) and Supplier(s)
  • Proactively liaise with functional groups to determine scope of category services, suitability of suppliers, competitive bid analysis (RFPs), and identification of areas in which efficiencies can be gained
  • Implement and support procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverage

Requirements

  • 5 years + of experience in procurement category management
  • Proven negotiations and contract management skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • University degree

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of R&D Procurement and/or Evidence Generation
  • Experience of procurement lifecycle management systems
  • Experience of effective Supplier Relationship Management
  • Experience of running international sourcing processes
