Job Title: Retail Accounting Team Leader

The Retail Accounting Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the retail accounting activities across Europe, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role involves driving a strong service culture and monitoring adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the European Retail Accounting team, responsible for sales and COGS posting, stock reconciliation, cash and credit card reconciliation, and retail invoicing.
  • Close accounting periods in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare additional reports to support business needs on a monthly/weekly basis.
  • Support store audits and annual financial audits.
  • Develop new ideas to improve processes and participate in continuous improvements/project activities.
  • Act as a contact point for Retail Operation Managers for financial/logistic processes.
  • Monitor KPIs and derive measures for their optimization.
  • Provide service-oriented communication with internal and external interfaces.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance or related studies, master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in team management, ideally in a Shared Service Center setup.
  • Experience working in multinational organizations.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in finance, inventory, accounts receivables, or related functions.
  • Experience in retail accounting or inventory accounting is a plus.
  • SAP and D365 experience is a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Quality and deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to identify future risks and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
