Job Title: Retail Accounting Team Leader

The Retail Accounting Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all retail accounting activities are accurately and timely performed for all entities across Europe. Additionally, the Team Lead is responsible for driving a strong service culture and monitoring if all standard operating procedures and best practices are understood and applied.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the European Retail Accounting team, responsible for posting and reconciliation of sales and COGS, Stock reconciliation, Cash and credit cards reconciliation, cooperation with the store managers during stock takes, retail invoicing of transfers between stores.
  • Close the accounting periods in accordance with company closing calendar, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare additional reports to support business needs on a monthly/weekly basis for all units within the company.
  • Support store audits and annual financial audits.
  • Create new ideas to improve processes and take an active part in continuous improvements/project activities.
  • Act as a contact point for Retail Operation Managers for financial/logistic processes.
  • Monitor KPIs and derive measures for their optimization.
  • Ensure service and recipient-oriented communication with internal and external interfaces.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: University degree in Accounting/Finance or related studies, master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in team management, ideally in a Shared Service Center setup.
  • Experience working in multinational organizations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the finance area of inventory, accounts receivables, or related functions with a broad understanding of the related functional areas.
  • Experience in retail accounting or inventory accounting will be a plus.
  • SAP and D365 experience will be a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel.
  • Quality and deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to identify future risks and provide solutions for them.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
