Chief Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to oversee the financial operations at indaHash. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as contribute to the development and implementation of the company's overall accounting strategy.

The key responsibilities of the Chief Accountant include:

  • Cooperating closely with the CFO and management to set up and manage the finance department.
  • Providing decisive leadership in scheduling timelines for changes within the accounting department.
  • Ensuring the financial accounting of a Group of legal entities in different countries, including AR, AP, and GL.
  • Cooperating with local and foreign accounting offices.
  • Ensuring full tax and statutory reporting, including VAT, CIT, withholding tax, and GUS.
  • Developing and maintaining accounting policy and chart of accounts, as well as accounting and tax procedures on local and Group levels.
  • Preparing periodic financial statements, analyses, and reports, including consolidation of Financial Statements at the Group level.
  • Leading statutory audits and tax controls on local and Group level.
  • Providing complete and accurate financial information and data for reporting, forecasting, and controlling purposes.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and resolving accounting problems with impacted business.
  • Continuously improving and optimizing accounting and tax processes.
  • Participating in other projects and initiatives related to accounting.
  • Managing the accounting team.

Requirements:

  • Polish at the C1 level is mandatory.
  • At least five years of experience in the Accounting department, preferably with two years in a Chief Accountant role (marketing/advertising industry is an asset).
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Strong management and organizational skills in building and controlling external accounting offices.
  • Good knowledge of accounting consolidation of FS.
  • English at C1 level.
  • Good MS Office skills and robust capabilities in MS Excel.
  • Proactive approach, accuracy, strong organizational skills, strategic thinking abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork, efficiency, innovation.
  • Former experience with multinational companies and accountancy regulations is welcomed.
  • Experience in the brokerage and trading industry is an asset.
  • ACCA or other financial/accounting certificate is an asset.
