Overview

HITACHI ENERGY SERVICES SP. Z O.O. is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Penetration Tester to join our team.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pentesting – conducting penetration tests on various systems to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Research – gathering information about industry technologies and staying up-to-date with new communication protocols and their associated risks.
  • Documentation Preparation – creating detailed reports and developing internal documentation to support the team’s knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Meetings – participating in technical meetings and knowledge exchange sessions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and application protocols concepts.
  • Understanding of software exploitation and common vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with port scanning, vulnerability assessment, and fuzzing tools.
  • Knowledge of protocols associated with web technologies.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25 vulnerabilities and their mitigations.
  • Experience with security testing of mobile apps and related APIs.
  • Good English communication skills: verbal and writing of technical reports.
  • Proficient with one of the scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge of cryptographic and security protocols.
  • Understanding of penetrating testing tools like Metasploit; able to write auxiliary modules and code exploits.
  • Knowledge on hardware exploitation techniques (e.g., firmware reverse engineering).
