About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled R&D Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy Poland Sp. z o.o. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in development processes for power electronic converters or power supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new breakthrough modular converter platform based on wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g. SiC) for a range of grid and DC applications.
  • Take a leading role to take new ideas from idea generation through simulation, circuit design, prototyping all the way to verification.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies on converter topologies, while gaining knowledge on Power Grids applications and requirements.
  • Support a fast, iterative design process in a cross-functional, dedicated team.
  • Build up and maintain measurement and test setups to verify performance, efficiency and robustness.

About You

  • You are curious and interested in sustainability and the ongoing energy transition and want to work on key technologies to solve one of the biggest challenges for humanity today.
  • You are a natural team player and enjoy collaborating with others, have a solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • You have a MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or comparable, and at least 5 years of professional experience working in the field.
