Job Description

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at InPost, you will play a key role in driving technical initiatives within the organization. This role combines the skills of a staff engineer and project/program manager, requiring a strong understanding of technical concepts and business processes.

The ideal candidate will have broad experience as a programmer and/or architect, with a proven track record of providing technical knowledge to support business partners and projects. They will be responsible for managing mid-scale and large impact technological projects, including their technical strategy, solutioning, and program execution.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with negotiation and influencing. They will be fluent in English and have a strong understanding of program and project management principles, tools, and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting business development activities by providing technical proposals, budget estimates, and business cases presentations.
  • Actively participating in the process of creating requirements, conducting analyses, and identifying key factors affecting the development of the project.
  • Managing mid-scale and large impact technological projects, including their technical strategy, solutioning, and program execution.
  • Collaborating with other functions, domains, and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery, overseeing and communicating project statuses and metrics.
  • Defining and addressing project risks and technological dependencies between products, indicating possible solutions.
  • Coordinating and partnering with diverse internal stakeholder groups, including early engagement to achieve effective buy-in.
  • In collaboration with our experts, designing and recommending appropriate, reliable, and scalable technical solutions.
  • Identifying project risks and issues; making recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring timely use of project and technology tools to help drive accountability, ensuring project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date.
  • Understanding the system architecture and functionality, assessing the feasibility of client requests, and applying the features of the various products as applicable.
  • Optimizing an architecture of existing services and solutions, optimizing an architecture communication aspects between software components and systems.
  • Making sure the highest-impact problems are defined by leaders and seniors for their projects.
  • Taking ownership and managing certain 'ways of working' processes in technology teams.
  • Taking ownership and managing 3rd party solutions and their integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent in information technology (IT/ICT).
  • 5+ years related work experience (preferably as project or program manager).
  • Additional Product Management experience would be an asset.
  • Logistics services industry experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of IT technologies, especially enterprise class technologies.
  • Knowledge of system integrations would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of program and project management principles, tools, and techniques, including business case development, ROI analysis, planning, and issues management.
  • Takes ownership and follows through on tasks; drives decisions; result-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with negotiation and influencing.
  • English for fluent verbal and written communication is a must.
