About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team at Devopsbay. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, tools, and models to drive business decisions.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify data and metrics needed to solve business problems. You will develop advanced understanding of our client business model and its drivers, with a deep focus on a business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify data and metrics needs
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and relevant teams on data instrumentation
  • Propose standardized definitions of data and metrics and get buy-in from stakeholders
  • Develop analytical frameworks, single-source-of-truth data sets, and dashboards to empower stakeholders
  • Lead projects end-to-end from discovery to activation and post-launch in collaboration with a cross-functional team
  • Clearly document data models with source, description, and field definitions for better collaboration and maintainability
  • Serve as an evangelist for the product solution, including alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience working as a data analyst, data scientist, consulting, banking, or equivalent quantitative analytical role
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in statistics, math, economics, computer science, finance, or equivalent practical experience
  • Expert SQL skills and experience with BI tools (Mode, Tableau, Looker, Qlikview, etc.)
  • Experience with data transformation tooling (dbt is preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working directly with business teams to define metrics, analyze problems, and propose solutions
  • 1+ years of professional experience with Python or R
