At Baxter, our mission drives us to innovate and improve healthcare outcomes for millions of patients worldwide. As a Category Manager for Resins, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing sourcing strategies that advance our mission.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Driving global market knowledge and supplier technologies to inform procurement decisions.
  • Providing expert guidance to operations teams on procurement best practices.
  • Defining subcategory segmentation and recommending consolidation strategies for business volume leverage.
  • Implementing commodity strategies based on regional markets, suppliers, and plants.
  • Analyzing competitive manufacturing costs and suggesting cost-saving strategies.
  • Developing cost-saving opportunities through competitive bidding, supplier development, and continuous improvement.
  • Improving and supervising supplier performance, establishing service levels, and resolving disputes.
  • Negotiating contracts, supporting supplier recovery plans, and managing supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA desirable. CPM preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in Procurement or related fields.
  • Strong decision-making skills for multi-million-dollar contracts and agreements.
  • Risk management skills to drive innovative solutions and problem-solving analysis.
  • Seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools and complex RFQs.
  • Strong project management skills to drive projects to closure.
  • High-level technical proficiency, with Engineering or technical training preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of category strategies and pricing arrangements.
  • Proficient English is a must.
  • Travel of 20-30% including global travel may be required.
