Program Management Director

AXA Group is seeking a highly skilled Program Management Director to oversee the implementation of complex programs across multiple dimensions, including Lines of Business, geographies, and functions.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in managing large-scale programs, effective people mentoring skills, and the ability to manage by influencing and coordinating large senior stakeholder teams independently.

The Transformation and Change Lead will ensure that projects are managed in a holistic fashion, with technology deliverables and operational/business deliverables met.

The role requires effective communication and presentation skills, experience in communicating with Senior Management, and established business acumen, coupled with technology knowledge and expertise in software development life cycle to challenge business demands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing governance structures and onboarding project sponsors
  • Working closely with workstream leads/business product owners of agile teams and other project managers on the execution and monitoring of against milestones, KPIs, and budget
  • Identifying key change management steps throughout the project life cycle and ensuring change management activities are appropriately followed to ensure success of the program
  • Managing overall communication to all stakeholders, including program sponsors, steering committees, and AXA XL project steerco
  • Driving a number of internal initiatives to help build, expand, and strengthen the program management capability throughout the organization

The successful candidate will be expected to lead large-scale programs independently and provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues to help develop their program management skills.
