Your Role: Building Robust Mobile Solutions

As a part-time Android/Kotlin Multiplatform developer, you'll work on our cross-platform mobile application. You'll help maintain and enhance our existing codebase, implement new features, and ensure smooth integration with backend services and third-party tools.

This is your chance to work with modern mobile development technologies, contribute to a growing platform, and help shape the technical direction of our product while working flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Development & Feature Implementation

  • Develop and maintain Android features using Kotlin and modern UI frameworks

  • Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces following Material Design principles

  • Implement hardware integrations including camera, Bluetooth, and barcode scanning

  • Work with shared business logic across platforms

Backend Integration & Data Management

  • Integrate with backend services and RESTful APIs

  • Implement offline-first architecture with local data persistence

  • Handle data synchronization and state management

  • Work with cloud-based services for authentication, analytics, and crash reporting

Code Quality & Collaboration

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices

  • Implement unit tests and ensure code reliability

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions

  • Coordinate with the CTO and team on feature priorities and technical roadmap

  • Debug and resolve issues based on user feedback and monitoring tools

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android development

  • Experience with modern declarative UI frameworks (Jetpack Compose or similar)

  • Solid understanding of Android architecture components and best practices

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming

  • Understanding of offline-first architecture and local data storage

  • Comfortable with Git version control and collaborative development workflows

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) development

  • Firebase or similar cloud backend services

  • Dependency injection frameworks

  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration

  • Experience with inventory management or retail/hospitality applications
