We are supporting a well-established international financial services firm in recruiting a Settlements Team Leader for their growing operations in Europe. The organisation is known for its resilience, innovation, and client-first approach. Their European office plays a strategic role in supporting both regional and global functions, and they foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous development.

As a Settlements Team Leader, you will be a key member of the Settlements department, supporting pre- and post-trade processing for Fixed Income Bonds and Equities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid settlements experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership role.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring timely settlement of all asset classes across various markets.Liaising with counterparties, brokers, and custodians to resolve trade issues.Completing daily reconciliations and end-of-day checklists.Supporting new team members through cross-training and mentoring.Assisting the Deputy Manager and Department Head with projects and process improvements.Escalating urgent issues and maintaining strong relationships across Operations, Front Office, Risk, and Compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring:

Minimum 3 years of experience in settlements, with strong knowledge of equity and/or fixed income products.Attention to detail and a client service mindset.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.Understanding of market regulations and operational processes.Fluent English (spoken and written).The right to work in the EU.
