SKY express, ERA board member, is the fastest-growing Greek airline, which is redefining the landscape of aviation in Europe. It operates the largest network of destinations in Greece (34), while it serves 24 international destinations. It has brokered significant interline agreements with global carriers such as Air France, KLM, Qatar Airways, easy jet, Delta, Emirates, American Airlines, Air Transat, Condor etc.

Over the course of the last two years, SKY express modernized its fleet with the acquisition of 8 brand-new Airbus A320neo, one Airbus A320ceo and 6 ATR , making one of the largest investments in the world in the field of aviation. With the addition of two AIRBUS A321neo in 2023, the SKY express fleet numbers 23 aircraft, remaining the youngest and greenest fleet in Greece and one of the most environmentally friendly fleets all over Europe.

Job Profile:
As the Country Manager Poland for SKY express, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all trade sales and business development activities in Poland. Your primary goal will be to drive business growth, increase brand awareness, and ensure the successful implementation of our commercial strategies tailored to the travel trade. In addition, your knowledge and familiarity with Greece as a destination product will play a
vital role in promoting and positioning the airline's offerings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies targeted at the travel trade in Poland to increase brand awareness and drive sales of the airline's Greece destination product.
  • Utilize your well-established network and knowledge of the Poland's travel trade to build and maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and other industry stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving sales.
  • Conduct market research and analysis specific to the travel market in Poland and the Greece destination product, identifying trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of your efforts with the overall business strategy.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the Poland market, travel trade engagement, and sales performance, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sales channels, leveraging this knowledge to recommend innovative sales approaches.
  • Leverage your knowledge and understanding of Greece as a destination product to position and promote the airline's offerings effectively, showcasing its unique features and attractions.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and other promotional activities in Poland, with a focus on engaging the travel trade and raising awareness of the Greece destination product.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in travel marketing, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in airline sales management, with a focus on the Poland market and travel trade.
  • Extensive familiarity and well-established network within the Poland travel trade, including travel agents, tour operators, and industry stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Poland travel market, including consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies targeted at the travel trade.
  • Familiarity with Greece as a destination product, including knowledge of its attractions, unique selling points, and travel preferences of the Poland market and consumers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
