Team/Role Overview:

  • The Citi Commercial Bank Onboarding Team handles account opening, maintenance, technical integration, and onboarding of Cash Management products across the Citi Treasury and Trade product suite. Our team is highly enthusiastic about ensuring a positive onboarding experience for our clients.

As CCB Client Onboarding Manager, you will be responsible for interacting with both clients and internal stakeholders during the Account Opening/Implementation processes. You will manage your own set of client onboarding projects, collaborating directly with SME businesses and their treasury departments.

Effective communication and diplomacy skills are essential to exchange potentially intricate/sensitive information. Your service's quality and timeliness will impact not only your team but also closely related teams.

What you'll do:

  • Handle customer interaction, documentation issuance, review, and system setups with a high level of diligence, motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Focus on timely and accurate delivery of all account opening functions (Onboarding and KYC) while providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of your assigned portfolio, related processes, and various project management tasks, ensuring compliance with internal processes, regulations, and policies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal teams, facilitate open communication, and understand and support new customer requirements.
  • Participate in regular conference calls with customers, handle client queries end-to-end, and make independent decisions.
  • Assess risks when making business decisions, prioritize the firm's reputation, and comply with laws and regulations.

What we'll need from you:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Banking Operations, KYC, Finance, Legal Documentation review, and Account Maintenance in relation to Cash management products, with exposure to Client interaction.
  • Proficient in handling cases that require urgency and escalation, proficient in English and Romanian (written and spoken), and any other European languages are a plus.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, proactive team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to establish and maintain business partnerships and client relationships, proficient in Microsoft Office.
