About Our Client

Our client is a Private Equity firm headquartered in Baltic region with a proven track record of establishing market leaders in their respective fields within the CEE region. They excel in supporting portfolio companies by enhancing their capabilities for professionalization and scaling up operations. In the pursuit of a new venture, we are in search of an adept CFO - Board Member to strengthen reporting, facilitate acquisitions, oversee substantial capex projects, control the budget and closely work with the commercial department. Collaborating with Supervisory Board Members and fellow management board colleagues, the Finance Director will spearhead the ambitious development plan of the company, including M&A initiatives. This pivotal role will be based close to Wrocław/Dolnyśląsk voivodeship.

Job Description

  • Co-create and implement financial and business strategies, collaborating closely with the Investment Fund, CEO, and management team for value enhancement
  • Oversee budget planning for a new production facility and monitor financial aspects of the project
  • Drive M&A initiatives, assessing potential opportunities and planning and executing post-acquisition integration
  • Support dynamic organizational growth in Poland and internationally, delivering high-quality managerial information and strategic planning
  • Manage working capital, sales efficiency and product profitability; act as a Business Partner for other departments
  • Participate in initiatives analysing sales results, margins, and pricing policies
  • Co-pilot digitalization and automation efforts, focusing on ERP/BI tools and developing the Management Information System
  • Establish a new reporting process, prioritize new implementations, and build a professional finance team, including Controlling, for enhanced financial management visibility

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree
  • A qualified professional with experience in business finance, ideally in a similar role of Finance Director (board level) within an international manufacturing company; Exposure on cooperation with a Private Equity environment is highly desirable
  • First-hand past commercial experience enabling close work with the commercial department
  • Experience in driving value creation and change management projects
  • Proven success in developing, nurturing, and leading teams
  • Proficient in IT, with hands-on experience in ERP systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly establish credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Robust relationship-building abilities and adept at managing diverse stakeholders' interests
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English and Polish is a must
