Responsibilities & Tasks
Responsible for all aspects of running the Polish segment of Elanco's Pet Health divisionCollaborates with the sales team to develop a vision and strategy that that aligns with the broader area and business unit objectives.Cross functional cooperation with marketing, Technical Consultants, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, HR, Market Access to guarantee product availability in the region, compliance with local regulations, and achievement of sales targetsRegular monitoring of Pet Health products forecast, product flow and supply ensuring alignment with Elanco's internal procedures.Sets high expectations for customer value creation, monitors performance, and takes appropriate actionAnalyses the performance of Polish Pet Health business considering external factors, trends, and performance gaps, and takes suitable actionsPrioritizes opportunities based on business/country objectives, resources and local analysisTakes an active part in developing Pet Health business plan for Poland based on prioritized opportunities and multi-channel resourcesAccesses and/or negotiates for, and ensures effective allocation of required resources and implementation of the marketing campaign and sales targetsExecutes regional Pet Health business plan with discipline and focusEvaluates sales representatives’ execution of territory business plansAssesses the effectiveness of the country level Pet Health business plan in generating desired results and adjusts the plan as necessary, considering changes in the business environment and resource availability.Identifies key customers and collaborates with appropriate business partners to enhance customer valueDisplays strong leadership skills by inspiring, coaching, mentoring, and directing the team while fostering dedication towards the achievement of goalsFosters a team culture of mutual support, trust, and knowledge-sharing among team to leverage diverse perspectivesIdentifies, recruits and develops diverse talent based on established criteria and business needsWorks with direct reports to identify their career goals and support them to achieve those goals (working with them on personalized development plans, considering their skill strengths, areas of improvement, and development priorities)Demonstrates flexibility in coaching and leadership stylePromotes the compliance cultureSkills, Knowledge, & Qualifications
Relevant experience (in Pet Health sales or marketing) and have been in people management role for 3+ yearsStrong understanding of Pet Health business, products and pets’ diseasesProven record of success with the sales process, from planning to closingLanguage: at least advanced knowledge of Polish and EnglishExcellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate peopleUnderstanding and/or experience in marketing processesKnowledge of the pharmaceutical industry economics and its driversBusiness-to-business consultative selling acumen preferredStrong customer focus and account management skillsStrong strategic thinking skills, including the ability to identify and evaluate opportunitiesStrong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actionsExcellent interpersonal skills to build trust and encourage openness with the sales team and external stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and influence decisionsStrong leadership skills - ability to build teams, coach, develop people and operate across disciplines and levelsAbility to build business relationships including cross-functional teamwork skills and the ability to influence senior managementAbility to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to try new strategies and techniquesAbility to effectively set priorities or work with conflicting priorities and make assertive decisionsCoaching and problem-solving skillsDemonstrating a learning agility and critical thinking skillsEducation: University GraduateAbility to travel 40-50% of the time-
