Smith & Nephew (S&N) is a large multi-national Medical Device company with a mature IT operating model which does include a mature AMS Service Delivery function working in conjunction with our AMS service provider and other IT service verticals. S&N has invested in digitalization and automation of Manufacturing, Quality & Regulatory operations.
As part of the leadership for S&N Service Delivery operations there is a need for a Service Delivery manager (SDM) to cover the European shift of our 24*7 operations (1 of 3 shifts) working in collaboration with the other SDMs and reporting into the Service Delivery Director
At S&N there is a 2 tier AMS strategy in place. Global Applications is our primary and major strategic platform covering around 75% of our operations and revenue and that’s where the majority of the AMS management would take place, however we also have site specific/local applications as a tier 2 AMS and this role would cover the service delivery activities for both global and local applications.
The solution footprint across these application management systems covers broadly Electronic Quality and Inspection Management, Regulatory Management, Calibration Management, Environmental Monitoring, Labelling, Printing, Packaging, Post-Market Surveillance, Precision Measurement, Laboratory Management, Device History Records, Training Management, & Supplier Management with complex integration into other "best in class" applications such as R&D, PLM, HR, BI & Analytics, etc.
What will you be doing?
Managing the day to day support operations from internal teams and 3rd party vendors including the AMS partner covering incident management, change management, release management and risk management for the shift 2 (European time zone) Full range of support from break/fix to systems performance and systems administration Driving the uplift in customer satisfaction and user experience of the AMS function Adhering to all regulatory, compliance & InfoSec related activities including SOX and Controls and supporting all Audit activities Ensure proactive behaviour and execution of excellent service for but not limited to Incident management and change managementWhat you will need to be successful?
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Service Delivery Manager plus hands-on experience with AMS provider support models Proven ability to manage multiple full implementation cycles of AMS globally Competent in Manufacturing & Quality Regulatory Affairs (QRA) business processes Skilled in leadership, communication, budget management, and resource allocation Experienced in information systems, applications – including Quality and Regulatory systems, Manufacturing systems, ITSM systems, and project management, preferably in regulated life science industry. Comfortable collaborating with diverse teams across different locationsYou. Unlimited.
