About the RoleThis role involves managing the delivery of natural catastrophe products, specifically Flood Insights, which requires 24/7 global engagement.
The Solutions Delivery Manager will lead a team across multiple time zones, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of FI Product ensuring consistency, efficiency and quality across operations
- Monitoring performance metrics to assess and identify opportunities to improve operational outcomes
- Analysing and refining operational processes to improve efficiency and enhance solution delivery
- Leading and managing the operational team to ensure alignment with delivery goals and priorities
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to address issues and implement solutions
- Establishing and maintaining robust contingency plans to address service disruptions
- Communicating across teams daily to ensure alignment with goals and priorities
- Documenting and tracking quality of deliverables
- Leads initiatives to drive operational excellence
- Provides clear direction, sets expectations and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Collaborates with the Meteorology team and outsourced teams for operational planning. Ensures smooth collaboration between the teams working on flood analysis
- Cooperates on development of training plans and develops individual development plans to enhance team performance and expertise
- Guides team members empowering them to deliver analyses effectively
- Proactively identifies and addresses risks impacting delivery
- Utilises customer feedback to improve performance. Ensures queries are addressed in a timely manner
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Hydrology or related field
- Expertise in GIS techniques, GIS data analysis and understanding of various remote sensing technologies
- Fundamental understanding of disaster analysis and management
- Proven experience in a leadership role
- Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data, trends, and metrics to drive informed decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with international teams and stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and drive their implementation
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and motivate team members
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities
