Job Description:

Shell is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead the end-to-end credit process for our Operating Units (OU) and Lines of Business (LoB) in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of up to 16 analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as the primary contact for all credit-related inquiries within supported OU & LoB.
  • Participate in commercial deal processes to optimize business returns.
  • Manage customer assessments, establish risk ratings, and recommend credit terms.
  • Develop and execute credit risk strategies aligned with business risk appetite.
  • Manage high-risk situations/trigger events and negotiate security.
  • Analyze credit exposures and reassess customer creditworthiness.
  • Proactively manage blocked orders/accounts and ensure business continuity.
  • Oversee accurate and timely cash application and debt collection processes.
  • Manage bad debt portfolios and ensure compliance with legal and fiscal requirements.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial/accounting roles.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience overseeing teams of at least 10 analysts.
  • Strong understanding of credit management processes.
  • Experience in multinational companies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in other local languages is an asset.
