Group Demand Planning and Supply Chain Specialist

Finsbury Food Group seeks a highly skilled Demand Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective production and delivery of our products to meet customer satisfaction.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation, leveraging historical sales trends, research, and statistical models. Additionally, you will collaborate with commercial teams to drive forecast improvements and measure accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain advanced demand forecasting models to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and reconcile forecasts based on external influences.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of forecast drivers.
  • Utilize industry-leading software, such as Optimity, to enhance demand planning capabilities.
  • Participate in the S&OP process by providing unconstrained demand plans considering R&Os in collaboration with virtual teams.
  • Lead monthly forecast 'surgeries' as part of the S&OP demand review.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in demand planning with a strong focus on data analysis and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in using forecasting software tools.
  • Able to display awareness and responsiveness to changing business conditions.
