Job Description

You will join FedEx Express as a Manager Planning and Engineering for the Properties and Real Estate domain. As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performing team.
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure team members meet their objectives and possess necessary competencies and tools.
  • Planning and organizing resources to identify and develop goals related to business initiatives.
  • Maintaining alignment with divisional and corporate goals, managing risks, and securing commitment from key stakeholders.
  • Presenting plans to senior management for approval.
  • Maintaining and developing expert knowledge of internal standards, external regulations, and the business environment.
  • Providing expert advice on complex issues and exploring innovative opportunities and solutions.
  • Leading the design and implementation of process improvements and best practices within your area of expertise.
  • Identifying and analyzing business issues, opportunities, and constraints.
  • Making high-impact decisions and sponsoring the implementation of solutions to ensure results.
  • Conducting high-quality analysis, providing recommendations, and contributing to strategic planning.
  • Developing and communicating reports to key stakeholders, including executive and senior management.
  • Overseeing projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within time and budget constraints.
  • Supporting the team with project management tools and processes and leading the implementation phase of approved solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • An excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Significant experience (5-10 years) in a managerial role within planning and engineering, particularly in the properties and real estate domain.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with proficiency in planning and organizing.
  • Expert knowledge of standards, external regulations, and best practices in properties and real estate.
  • Relevant business accreditation or qualifications.
  • Experience in managing projects and departmental budgets effectively.
