We are seeking an Operational Excellence Expert to join our team at Nordea Bank. As an Operational Excellence Expert, you will play a key role in shaping the Operational Excellence culture, building Operational Excellence capability, and implementing Operational Excellence programs in our Know Your Customers (KYC) Services area.

About this opportunity

You will be part of the TMSI Capacity & MI team, which provides Operational Excellence Capability and services to KYCS and TMSI. We are building a strong Operational Excellence Capability to efficiently support KYCS and TMSI, creating common ways of working and utilizing our capabilities in the best way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape and drive Operational Excellence strategy and implement Operational Excellence programs
  • Shape and deploy Operational Excellence tools and methods
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Operational Excellence workshops, or other improvement initiatives
  • Support KYCS area in resolving issues through supporting or driving strategy Operational Excellence projects, Operational Excellence initiatives, and coaching, mentoring Problem Solving sessions
  • Support building continuous improvement culture and mindset by sharing, implementing, and maintaining best practices
  • Actively collaborate with Operational Excellence communities and different senior stakeholders
  • Train and coach teams to build proper levels of Operational Excellence capability in KYCS
  • Lead the Operational Excellence Capability Community consisting of local Operational Excellence Drivers and Operational Excellence Champions in KYCS

Requirements:

  • Strong observation, listening, and oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to coach and mentor individuals on their personal transformation to Operational Excellence
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Right mindset and knowledge to participate and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Strong ownership as well as collaboration skills
  • Initiate and manage actions to secure successful and sustainable change
  • Basic statistical analysis skills for driving improvements and problem-solving
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Power BI skills are a benefit
  • Experience in Group Financial Crime Prevention is a benefit

Your experience and background:

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Operational Excellence or Lean area
  • Certified in a relevant field, like Nordea Operational Excellence Certifications, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, is a benefit
  • Training and workshop facilitation skills
  • Communication skills related to Change management
  • Professional in English (both written and spoken)
  • Professional collaboration skills with your team members and stakeholders
