**Role Overview**

Institutional Accounting plays a vital role in managing the financial operations of our clients. As an Executive Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, as well as identifying and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Complete tasks related to the preparation and delivery of financial reports, including determining NAV, calculating fund performance, and allocating expenses.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis of reconciliations and lead engagements across business areas, identifying trends and executing recommendations.
  • Act as an escalation point for more junior team members, assigning workload and monitoring timeliness and accuracy of task completion.
  • Regularly interact with clients to answer questions and resolve issues related to fund reports and accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with the team manager to successfully manage the team and deliver department strategy, identifying risks and needs for improvements in procedures, controls, and systems.

**Requirements**

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a minimum of B/C level spoken and written English.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of years of experience in a similar area and a total of years of experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various securities, including bonds, equities, and derivatives, as well as market events such as corporate actions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other applications, and knowledge of SQL an asset.
  • Analytical skills, with a proven track record of working with comprehensive financial and numerical data, and experience working with large and complex databases.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to handle high volumes with tight deadlines.
