Job Title: Cyber Security Expert with Energy Transition Focus

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Expert to join our team at Hitachi Energy Services. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to our mission of enabling the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Security Architectures: Design and implement robust security architectures for embedded systems and IoT/cloud applications, ensuring they are customized to application domain and architecture.
  • Vulnerability Identification: Conduct in-depth analysis of requirements, architecture, and design documents to identify weaknesses in embedded systems and IoT/cloud applications.
  • Security Consulting: Provide expert advice to R&D units on security weaknesses and mitigations, promoting a culture of security within the organization.
  • Monitoring IT Landscape: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the global IT security landscape, identifying emerging threats and trends.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to disseminate knowledge and expertise, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • External Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, open-source communities, startups, and vendors, to drive research and development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Education: PhD or Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with threat modeling approaches and tools, as well as deep knowledge of security vulnerabilities and measures.
  • Development Experience: Software/hardware development experience is beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as GIAC or OSCP/OSCE, are welcome.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, with good presentation skills.
  • Personality Traits: An innovation-focused personality with a desire to continuously improve yourself and the organization around you.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
