About the Job

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Global Trade Program in Europe. As Regional Head of Trade Management Europe, you will be responsible for ensuring trade compliance and optimizing trade-related business operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Global Trade Program in Europe, ensuring alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage and support the Country Trade Compliance Officers in Europe, providing guidance on trade compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with local business units to ensure the appointment of local Trade Compliance Officers and provide support on trade-related tasks.
  • Advise senior management and stakeholders on European trade issues and trade compliance.
  • Lead the Global Trade Sanctions Steering Group, providing expert advice on trade sanctions and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain trade policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in trade, law, economics, international relations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in export controls, sanctions, and customs compliance, supply chain compliance, and supply chain optimization.
  • Specialist knowledge of Swiss and EU trade regulations and EU and other sanctions.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language. Other European languages, particularly German or French, a plus.
  • Currently based in Italy or the EU.
