The Global HR Technology function is part of the HR organization, responsible for delivering solutions that improve or enhance the way Human Resources is delivered at Smith & Nephew and manages HR technology programs, vendors, and operations.

Role Overview:

The HR Digital Employee Experience Specialist role is a key part of the HRIS Team and is responsible for the ongoing management and development of the digital employee experience of HR, with particular focus on our Employee Experience platform, and, how our other HR platforms such as Workday, provide a positive user experience.

Working closely with colleagues in the HRIS team, HR, Data Privacy, Audit and Compliance, the role will be instrumental in bringing our bold vision of having everything HR in one place, to life. A new platform, new ways of working for employees, managers and HR as well as being at the forefront of thinking about employee experience in Smith+Nephew, make this an exciting and challenging role.

This role involves a high level of relationship management in order that the HR function and our HR technology partners continue to foster and develop a valuable partnership to drive simplification, automation and ongoing development of employee experience in the long-term.

What will you be doing:

Working closely with the Senior Manager - HR Technology & Digital Employee Experience, implement the development roadmap that places employee experience at the heart of our digital offering and ensures robust processes are in place for: capturing feedback, content management and governance. Build a backlog of improvements to build into our employee experience and other HR platforms and then prioritise, plan and implement those improvements. Maintain and develop our employee personas, lifecycle touchpoints and user journeys to ensure they are up-to-date and meet the needs of our workforce. Work alongside the Knowledge Manager to ensure accurate knowledge content is included in the platform and follows the latest best practices to enhance experience Provide a first level of escalation for platform issues and liaise with vendor support teams to resolve any incidents or issues with the platform as required. Provide insight reports from the platform to inform future development, keep stakeholders updated and track against KPI's

What will you need to be successful?

Project Management – Good understanding of project management tools and techniques and ability to prioritize a queue of tasks. Self-Drive - Self-motivated, well-organized, and self-reliant. Responds to challenging priorities with a sense of urgency and pace. Displays initiative to resolve problems presented as well as identifying trends and recommending improvements. Organization Skills - Ability to plan, taking a pragmatic approach to meet required deadlines. Ability to organize and prioritize work-loads to meet service standards/deadlines Service Improvement – Ability to deliver against performance indicators for services and proactively improve performance. Good understanding and experience of implementing quality and process improvements. Delivery Management – Able to take a holistic view of the internal customer journey Intermediate Website/App/Employee Portal management and development experience Employee Experience Design and user journey mapping; either employee or consumer Understanding of Google analytics and using data to understand experience online is beneficial Experience of using and maintaining the Applaud HR platform is highly desirable
