The International Risk Management Execution Team provides crucial support to Risk Cluster heads and Risk Management Country Officers on processes standardization to enhance productivity, governance, and control activities, as well as hands-on strategic execution. The team also assists the International Risk Head in interfacing across all risks within the International landscape, acting as a key partner to the International Head.

The Regulatory Risk Officer is a key professional within the Risk Management Country Officers Support Team under International Risk Management. This role involves providing centralized support to RMCOs for complex countries, guiding junior staff for less complex countries.

Citi's Risk Management Country Officers are essential Risk Professionals serving as the primary contact for Risk matters at the franchise level in each country. They oversee review and challenge activities by Independent Risk Management, supporting Country Coordinating Officers and CEOs as key Risk partners, often juggling multiple roles, with Corporate Credit Risk Management being a common primary focus.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing team, contributing to the design and implementation of International risk management initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with Risk Cluster heads and RMCOs to stay informed, influence strategy, implement best practices, and fulfill regulatory responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing processes and controls to support RMCOs within the Target Operating Model
  • Collaborating with RMCO Support Coordinators for consistent country support
  • Designing and implementing KPIs, controls, and processes for the RMCO Support Unit
  • Supervising and developing junior talent in the RMCO Support Unit
  • Identifying opportunities for process standardization across countries
  • Collaborating with other units to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Deepening understanding of covered countries to enhance processes and support activities
  • Executing global demands on time and per guidelines
  • Providing risk analytics across Legal Entity risk categories
  • Monitoring data quality and completeness
  • Involvement in EUCs rationalization for RMCO tasks
  • Partnering with Clients for proactive support
  • Assisting in project management for multiple countries/Legal entities

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience in risk program governance and framework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Understanding of wholesale credit risk and end reporting
  • Broad knowledge of risk & controls, and management control assessment
  • Financial and risk reporting expertise
  • Experience in implementing policy changes
  • Project management skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Relationship management abilities
  • Understanding of International Standards for Risk Management
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Data management skills in VBA, Python, SQL, Power Bi, or Tableau

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred in relevant fields
