We are currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Technical Lead to join our remote team.

The role focuses on configuring and developing the ServiceNow platform, implementing out-of-the-box capabilities and custom solutions that lay the foundation for our vision of providing secure, reliable, and resilient information systems to our users.

The role would also include supporting integrations and platform software development, working across applications, delivering new functionality, developing innovative solutions, and supporting the entire development lifecycle. Developing, configuring, and implementing support for API, REST, and SOAP integrations within the client's ServiceNow instances will also be part of the working activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop New ServiceNow Applications and Services: Design and develop new ServiceNow applications and services for ITSM modules of ServiceNow, including ITSM Standard modules, Flow Designer, Virtual Conversational Bot with MS Teams, CSM, and Service Portal.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Processes or Business Modules: Expertise in ServiceNow processes or business modules (ITSM & ITOM – ITBM a bonus).
  • Own and Manage Integration of 3rd Party Systems with ServiceNow: Own and manage the integration of 3rd party systems with ServiceNow; MID server, web services (SOAP and REST), email, and other relevant integration technologies.
  • Create and Maintain API and Data Integrations: Create and maintain API and data integrations between ServiceNow and other services.
  • Create or Enhance Various ServiceNow Components: Create or enhance various ServiceNow components such as business rules, flow designer, workflow, request catalog, client script, script include, UI policy, UI action, portal, UI macro, etc.
  • Develop and Support Software Integrations: Develop and support software integrations (I.E PagerDuty, Intune, 3rd party inbound feeds).
  • Loading, Transforming, and Maintaining Data Between ServiceNow and Other Systems: Load, transform, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Automating Tasks Within ServiceNow: Utilize scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to automate tasks within ServiceNow.
  • Troubleshooting Automation Issues: Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions to address barriers, enabling forward movement in the application lifecycle.
  • Deploying Update Sets to Production Environment: Deploy update sets to production environment following defined change control processes.
  • Completing Development and Testing Tasks Related to ServiceNow Releases: Complete any development and testing tasks related to ServiceNow releases.
  • Monitoring ServiceNow Performance and Processes: Monitor ServiceNow performance and processes to stay within the stated KPIs.
  • Customizing the System to Meet Business Needs: Develop and customize the system to meet business needs.
  • Collaboration with Management, Platforms & Product Teams: Ability to work closely with the Management, Platforms & Product teams, to translate their requirements into deliverables within the ServiceNow platform.

Requirements

  • At Least 6 Years of Experience with ServiceNow Development, Configuration, Implementation, and Support: At least 6 years of hands-on experience with the development, configuration, implementation, and support of production and non-production ServiceNow instances.
  • Leadership and Team Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams of developers, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Experience with Web Technologies and SaaS Environment: Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Angular JS, Web Services, etc.) and working in a SaaS environment.
  • Programming Skills and Knowledge of Infrastructure Services: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, Java, and HTML are required, and minimum of 3 years of experience with common web technologies and networking (e.g., XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • ServiceNow Certifications and Proficiency in Using and Managing APIs: ServiceNow Application Developer and/or System Administrator Certifications are required, and demonstrated proficiency in using and managing APIs.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure Services Spanning Servers, Storage, Network, Security, and Cloud: Knowledge of infrastructure services spanning servers, storage, network, security, and cloud.
