Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Category Development Manager to join our Commercial team in Poland. This role will drive strategic initiatives in category and channels strategies, generating category & shopper insights on batteries, flashlights, and auto care products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the annual Category & Channel Development plan, aligning with Marketing & Sales based on international /regional guidelines to achieve market shares, distribution, sales, and margin targets.
  • Set up category guidelines, targets, and KPIs to meet and maximize results.
  • Analyze and monitor main market competitors.
  • Generate new category insights and leverage existing ones.
  • Manage Market Share by product, channel, customer, area using Nielsen, Focus Online, POS data, and other available data.
  • Host correct and full key market panel data for Poland (batteries, flashlights, and auto care products) via Nielsen Answers.
  • Collaborate with external customers and internal stakeholders to drive initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in any related disciplines (MBA would be a plus).
  • At least 4-6 years of working experience in FMCG or similar industries.
  • Required to have 2-3 years of Category Management experience in any sizeable FMCG company.
  • Preferable to have 2-3 years of relevant experience in commercial or commercial planning areas, including Sales planning and Brand Management.
  • Experienced in cross-functional team participation.
  • Fluent English is a must (frequent interaction with International stakeholders).
  • At least C1 level in German.
  • Proficient knowledge of channel management, market analysis using POS and Nielsen data.
  • Negotiation skills – internally and externally.
  • Commercial delivery – result-oriented.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
