Job Overview:
The Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role in our HR Shared Services team, responsible for managing and processing payroll activities across various countries. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, preferably with experience in German-speaking countries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and validate monthly payroll results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage statutory and occupational sickness payments, maternity, paternity, and benefit expenses.
- Collaborate with Social Security Institutions and Tax Offices to ensure timely payments and compliance.
- Maintain disability fund submissions and prepare reports for the Statistical Office.
- Assist in preparing annual declarations for PIT and insurance confirmation.
- Provide payroll-related support and answer inquiries from employees and management.
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for payroll-related metrics.
- Liaise with pension and insurance providers to resolve operational issues.
- Review and process timesheets and work records as required.
- Review and process leave records as required.
- Ensure accurate upkeep of overtime, benefits, and bonus data.
- Assist in audits related to payroll or payroll systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in German-speaking countries.
- Strong knowledge of HR competencies, processes, and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.
- Intermediate-level German language proficiency.
- Bonus points for experience with ServiceNow or other HR systems.
