Technical Support Specialist with German Language Expertise

Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer with German, you will be responsible for providing second-line user support to a range of devices. Your role will involve characterizing, replicating, and solving technical issues using a physical lab equipped with various devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering groups to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies to provide effective support.
  • Travel to client sites (less than 10% of the time) and be prepared for on-call duty.
  • Develop technical skills and knowledge to become a subject matter expert or take on a managerial role.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
  • Ability to understand complex systems architecture.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Technical Support role.
  • Project management experience with multiple projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Significant proactive contribution to customer knowledge and success via documentation creation and improvement.
  • Intermediate-level certification in a relevant field.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience in radio communications/telecommunications, with knowledge of TETRA, LTE, Body Worn Cameras, DEMS, and ITIL.
