About the Role

The Administrative Assistant role is a key part of the UK Risk and Compliance (UKR&C) function, reporting directly to the Global Law and Compliance team. As a member of the Aon team, you will play a vital role in supporting the embedding of a robust risk and compliance culture across the UK business and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to the Executive Assistant for the EMEA CRO/CCO and EMEA General Counsel, covering diary management and other activities as required.
  • Manage the diary of the Deputy Chief Compliance and Deputy Chief Risk Officers, including travel bookings, expenses, and training arrangements.
  • Liaise with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), acting as the central point of contact for regular and ad-hoc meetings, coordinating preparation and supporting the development of meeting materials.
  • Attend FCA meetings, take minutes, and chase actions.
  • Manage the dedicated FCA mailbox, tracking outstanding actions and ensuring timely responses.
  • Support quarterly team meetings and other events, including offsite meetings.
  • Undertake Global Spend Management processes on behalf of the team, raising purchase orders and processing invoices from third-party service providers.
  • Work with People Managers across the UK Risk & Compliance Team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new colleagues, including arranging IT hardware/software, introductory meetings, and conducting new colleague training.
  • Support the offboarding process for leavers from the R&C team, collecting equipment, passes, and closing access to R&C systems and folders as required.
  • Complete a half-yearly audit of the Shared Drive to review access controls and ensure the right people have access rights.
Requirements
  • English language proficiency - B2+/C1 minimum (written and spoken).
  • Experience of handling confidential information with discretion and a strong ethical approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Computer literacy, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software applications.
  • Experience in general administration and international environments would be an asset.
